With the unfortunate cancellation of High and Mighty, Nambucca River have decided to run a “Have a Go!” jump day on Sun 8 May at Macksville Showground.
This will be a schooling event not a competition, however, combinations must be Club or Zone graded.
We will set one course and allow everyone two rounds, then change the course and allow everyone another two rounds. If there is time, we will make a third course change, but we will aim to finish around 2 pm..
The heights for each course will be 45, 55, 60, 70, 75, 85, 90, 100, 105, 110 and 115 cm. Riders can choose to jump at any height up to the maximum height of their current grade.
There will be a course walk at 8:30 for a 9:00 am start. The Course Designer will be available on course to explain the course and the questions that are being asked. We will also be happy for any club to have their instructors work with their riders as they attempt the course (within reason – be mindful that others will be waiting to ride)
Riders may bring more than one horse.
As this is a PC event riders must wear proper uniform, however, club polo shirts will be acceptable.
Cost for the day will be $10 dollars per combination, payable on the day.
At this stage we are not planning to run a canteen but if we have enough early entries we will organise a sausage sizzle. We encourage you to bring a cake that can be shared at morning tea.
You must also bring a smile and a relaxed attitude – remember its all about having a go and learning.
We will accept entries on the day but if you are interested in attending please contact Geoff Goldrick on 0409 811 994 or geoff.goldrick@gmail.com in advance so that we can plan for numbers. Also, contacting us in advance means that we can let you know if the event has to be cancelled because of weather or other reasons.
We are making this up as we go along so the details may be subject to change 🙂
Cheers
